Some things to consider when planning a new website:
- Where will the text content come from?
- Will you write it yourself?
- Will you hire someone to write it for you? (we can recommend a reliable content writer)
- Do you need someone to edit the content you have written?
- Is your ranking in Search Engines important to you?
- If so, is your text content “SEO friendly”? (was it written to be optimized for search engines)
- Will you supply META Tags, Titles and Descriptions for the web pages?
- There are the coded tags that the search engines use to find your website, as well as many other things such as the actual content, inbound links, etc.
- Do you have a good logo for use on the website?
- If not, do you want one created for you?
- Where will photos and graphics come from?
- Will you use stock photos (usually very inexpensive and Sonora can find them for you)
- If you are supplying them, are they high enough quality for the website?
- What is your desired timeframe for launching the new site?
- Do you have a budget range in mind?
- We can develop websites at any budget level, so what you want to spend will dictate how much you get.
- Do you already have your domain name and hosting setup?
- If not, we can help with that also. We don’t charge to get these setup, but you'll need to pay for the domain name (about $10-20/year) and hosting (about $10-20/month). (we can recommend a reliable hosting company)
- If so, we’ll need FTP access to the hosting server (where the website will “live”)
- Can you give us the URLs of a few websites that you like?
- Will you be selling anything on your site?
- We’ll need all the details of how many products, options, how you want to accept payments (merchant account, PayPal, etc).
