With more than thirty-five years of experience in a wide array of traditional and digital marketing specialties, Jim brings a broad perspective and deep hands-on skills to his leadership role with the Sonora team. From video production and art direction to graphic design and commercial photography, web design, and business management, Jim has the experience to provide clients with useful insights and key marketing guidance.
“It got to the point that I was doing what I love, but for someone else. The natural progression was to strike out on my own. That was more than twenty-five years ago, and we haven’t looked back once.”
In addition to helping Sonora clients build and manage “perfect match” websites, Jim spends time practicing photography, rock climbing, and playing guitar. Mike earned degrees from the graphic design program at Endicott College in Beverly and the website development program at UMass Lowell. After years of focused study on both the artistic and technology sides of website development, he joined the Sonora team and began putting his skills to work on a wide variety of projects.
“I loved art as a teenager, and was intrigued by the idea of making it a career. I started out as a graphic designer, but quickly became really interested in website development. I love the way the process combines creative and technical skills. I’m also excited by the way the web is constantly evolving. The emerging technologies and design trends keep things exciting and give me the opportunity to continue learning and expanding my creative and technical skills.”
When he isn’t coding websites for Sonora clients, Mike enjoys photography, snowboarding and cheering for the Red Sox.

After more than ten years in the music industry, doing everything from instrument repair to talent management, Del still loves playing guitar. He also enjoys traveling, outdoor pursuits, and – because life is short – makes a special effort to spend as much time as he can with the people he loves.
Marissa joined the Sonora team 16 years ago, just after earning her graphic design degree. In addition to designing and coding websites, she also handles logo design, graphic layouts for print collateral such as brochures, and does beautiful custom illustrations and other artwork.
“I was fresh out of college when my sister Briana introduced me to Sonora. Jim hired me on the spot, and I’ve been so happy here, I never looked back. Sonora is a flexible, family-oriented company that provides me with plenty of opportunities to stretch my creativity to the limit. Each project is a new challenge, and another chance to do great work. I love it.”
Marissa lives in Concord, New Hampshire with her husband, James and son, Jasper. Her other creative pursuits include painting and sewing, and when she needs a change of pace she hits the trails for a good hike.
Heidi’s extensive background in organization, administration, and computer skills make her an integral part of the Sonora story. As Director, she supports the Sonora team in day to day operations, bookkeeping, corporate decisions, and assists on many of our web and print projects.
